For this blog assignment I chose the option to design a project that utilises a network of participants.
My idea was too get words off a range of people via email and create an image from these words.

Pure Juice (2000) is a painting by Denis Wheary using oil on canvas it is 16″ X 20″. it relates to my theme as it is an image of a wave. I like the colours and the way it was painted.

This Bronze sculpture by Steve Jensen is a representation of a wave which relates to my theme. it is 30″x36″ but appears to look bigger in this photograph.

Sculpture of a wave by JeanShin. Constructed out of melted records and sculptured together to create an almost surreal cascading wave. The Sound Wave design is an abstract representation of music in the form of a literal wave, while the wave relates to my theme, it also represents the music industry and the way artists and their songs “comes in waves and go back to the ocean of records churned out by the industry”

The black and white photo by Tim McKenna, shows a man surfing a wave, which relates to my theme. I liked this photo because I liked the shape of the wave and the position of the man in action, it is a gripping action shot.

This is a photograph by Tim McKenna. It is a photograph of a boy surfing on a long board, which relates to my theme. I liked this photograph because of the colours, angle and the expression on the boys face.

This photo again relates to my theme by its use of under water photography. this photograph was taken by Zena Holloway. it is a image of a girl in a pool with a red dress draping around it. I liked this photo because of the movement of the dress and the girl, which can only be archived by capturing it underwater. It appears that the girl has no boundaries or any gravity to hold her down.

This is another photograph taken by Brian Bielmann. I like this photograph as it shows a man surfing at a different angle than we would normally see. By using this angle and having the image in a high contrast of black and white makes it appear that danger could be lurking in the water, but the surfer is unaware as he is above and cannot see below the surface. This relates to my theme as it uses under water photography.

This is a photograph taken by Brian Bielmann. It relates to my theme, as it is a photograph of water. I liked this photograph how it shows water in a way which we do not normaly see it. The water has been captured at a precise time, which makes it very interesting to look at.
